The Dark Knight Review

Fri Jul 18, 2008, 7:18 PM
To be perfectly honest, I was never a HUGE fan of Batman. I always liked Marvel better than DC, and Batman was just too cheesy for my taste. I saw the first Batman, and thought it was really good, but it still lacked something. Up until tonight, Ironman was my favorite superhero movie of all time.

Note 1: Heath Ledger you will forever be remembered for this part. I don't know how many awards he should get, but he made the movie worth watching. He was delightfully evil, perfectly odd, totally spontaneous and outrageously crazy. The entire movie just "reeked" of his perfection. Seriously, he made this movie what it was. Uh-mazing!

Note 2: The one thing that seemed to bug me about this movie was Batman's voice. It was worse than it was in Begins and it really sounded like he had smoked too many cigarettes this time. I don't know what else to say, other than that. I did love how this movie focused less on Bruce Wayne and more on Batman. Now that I think about it, Bruce Wayne was in very little of it. XD

Overall, it was probably one of the best 2 1/2 hours of my life. It didn't disapoint whatsoever, and even though it wasn't anywhere near as dark and gloomy as I thought it would be, it delivered on every level. I loved the storyline with Two Face being brought in and all, and recommend it to anyone!!
